About FYBCOM

This is the year in which the student faces the First University Exam. As a year with seven subjects and compulsory ‘Math’s’ subject, F.Y.B.Com. becomes quite a significant year for a commerce student. Student getting A.T.K.T. at F.Y. is deprived of the opportunity to select certain scoring (optional) subjects at T.Y.B.Com. Admissions to certain professional courses like Banking & MBA are also denied to the students getting A.T.K.T. at the F.Y.B.Com. Thus, every student needs to take this year seriously right from day one. This is more so for the students who had not opted for ‘Maths’ at XI / XII. In T.Y students have 400 marks A/Cs. F.Y A/Cs is the base of T.Y A/Cs. Students will now get a combined mark sheet of FY, SY & TY which will show average percentage scored at all 3 years which means lower % at FY means lower aggregate %. [Correspondence Course i.e. IDE students will have only 1 Final exam of 100 marks, in each subject at the end.]
